In our opinion, hands down, the newly released Venom Rex VR-602 wheels should’ve been an OEM option from factory for the Ford Ranger Raptor.
Since the Ford Ranger Raptor hit the Australian market in late 2018, the top of the line blue Oval truck have been churning through Ford Dealerships across all major states in the land down under.
The Ranger Raptor straight off the factory line comes with 17×8.5 alloys, whilst they do make the cut for some, they are the obvious upgrade for the real enthusiast, that’s where Venom Rex steps in.
The flow forged VR-602 released by Venom Rex are a direct fit replacement for the Ranger Raptors. Not only do they slot right in with perfect fitment, they retain the slick OEM look without being too ‘in-your-face’. They come in either 17×9 to closely mirror the OEM specs found on the stock standard wheels or you can opt for the much bigger 20×9 option.
When comparing the Ranger Raptor to a Ranger WildTrak, the Raptor is slightly taller overall (1848mm vs 1873mm), we personally prefer the bigger option as you must’ve purchased the Ranger Raptor specifically for a reason, right?
