The second gen Ranger Raptor is now upon us, with the first pre-orders of the Raptors now gracing Aussie shores, many of the new owners have asked the question: What wheels can correctly fit the new Raptor?
Like with any new car where we physically don’t have it, getting the required measurements to be able to correctly calculate fitment was difficult. Was it impossible? No, however it took alot of messing around with even more trial and error. The end result speaks for itself
This brand new Raptor finished in ‘Absolute Black’ came into the RollingStock workshop with one thing in mind – change the wheels and make it look sick! Our customer also wanted a bit of poke to compliment the aggressive shape of the next gen Raptor. We happily obliged and lowered our final offset a tad to get a 10mm protrusion from the guards and ended up with a set of 20 inch VenomRex VR602 finished in Mystic Black. Wrap them in Nitto Ridge Grappler All Terrain Tyres and we’ve got ourselves a capable mean machine.
The VenomRex VR602 are a flow forged wheel set designed by VenomRex, the off road division of Vorsteiner USA. The VenomRex VR602 presents an elegant finish whilst offering what would be expected quality-wise of a flow forged wheel.
The R&D gone into to speccing any wheel set is time consuming, pair this with having to do it for a vehicle that was yet to be released was even more of a task. Nonetheless the VenomRex VR602 really hit the nail in the coffin. We’re happy to be able to offer this wheel in specs to suit the next gen Raptor.
