Here at RollingStock we also asked ourselves who makes the best forged wheels in the land. To us, this was a very important question and one that we took very seriously. We were unable to find the answer in black and white, so decided to conduct our own research and find out who makes the best forged wheels ourselves! 

We decided that to answer our question, we needed to set up the criteria on HOW to determine the best forged wheels in the world. 

To ensure that we didn’t complicate the task, our fundamental criteria needed to be as succinct as possible and of the utmost highest importance. The KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method was adopted and we narrowed the essential criteria down to the following 3 categories. :

The search began and the above criteria was used to slowly but carefully scrutinize every well known (and some almost unknown) Forged Wheel Manufacturers in the world. A somewhat daunting task but one that we believed we owed to the people!

The objective of this task was not to bring down or to point out the flaws of other well known brands – that won’t assist  anyone. Our objective was to make people aware of WHO it is that we believe currently makes the best forged wheels in the world. So we will not go into the results of the other manufacturers – but rather we will go through the reasons why our winner came out on top. Another cool feature we found was that each Strasse wheel is built with their performance spec weight reduction chambers to ensure that weight is always kept to a minimum. Literally, each wheel is inspected with a fine tooth comb throughout each stage of production – and at every stage this is done by a minimum of two staff members.
