The Porsche Cayman GT4 is considered by many to be the last of its kind. The last Porsche to be truly RAW. No PDK gearbox, no turbos, no all wheel drive grip. The purest of a pure breed and something that perhaps, we will never see again! A collectors item? For some… But not for all – the owner of this amazing example had other ideas! This car was bought to be driven. Driven, and driven HARD!
Right from the word GO, the standard Porsche GT4 Wheels were deemed inadequate even before delivery was taken. Discussions were had between RollingStock and the owner and the brief was simple. Of course, the new set of wheels for the GT4 HAD to look the part. However they also needed to be super lightweight – and stronger than the originals. The Porsche GT4 Wheels that were decided on to replace the OEM gear, are straight from Miami and the team at Strasse Wheels. Fully forged and fully custom built. Nothing but the best!
The Strasse Deep Concave Monoblock series was deemed most suitable due to their amazingly lightweight construction and immense strength. The SV1 was the style chosen and the red accents were added to the Satin Black wheel finish to complement the other red accents on the car. The fact that the SV1 is an easy design to clean after a day of hardcore track work, is a bonus!
The end result is really quite impressive! A visual touch that adds to the menacing nature of the car and one that goes a step further to improving its abilities, on and off the track. Fitted with the ultra sticky Pirelli Trofeo Rs, this combo is proving to be a hugely impressive package.
