FLOW FORGED
The Vorsteiner V-FF range uses new flow forging technology that produces wheels that end up substantially stronger yet much lighter in weight when compared to your conventional cast construction, that have dominated the aftermarket wheel industry up until now. The majority of surplus weight can be shaved by the use of less but stronger Aluminium. In addition, Vorsteiner meticulously reduce the weight of the wheel utilising back-pad pocketing as well as front and rear spoke pocketing. This entire process of weight saving is done in the engineering and cad drawing stages of each design ensuring the end result is perfect.

Flow Forging Process

An initial casting unique to Flow Forging Technology is placed onto a steel rim and mould and prepped to be processes.
2. Extensive heat and pressure is applied using three individual rollers to shape the Aluminium to the rim mould.
3. The individually shaped rollers fortifies the barrel to the specified width and density allowing for a stronger wheel using less material.
4. The molecular compound of the Aluminium significantly hardens in a streamline direction resulting in a wheel with a higher impact tolerance and considerably lighter in weight.
